1.     RDS Return Guidelines  

(1). General Services & Condition    

       RMAs returned under a service maintenance contract:  

        Any RDS products purchased enjoy 2year warranty;  it comes into effect from delivery date. Please return parts to our office within 30 days after RMA confirmation. This warranty does not cover any damages caused by abuse, accident, misuse, negligence, repair, disaster, modification, improper installation or testing.  

       During the warranty period the repair will be free of charge. Meanwhile all the returned products will be upgraded with the newest firmware version unless the customer has a special requirement. RDS will reserve the rights for replacement parts when they are obsolete or phased-out.  

      If RDS provide cameras or key components as spare parts to the customer, RDS will not accept RMA return. 

       RDS will not accept RMA return without any notification or application in advance.  


(2). RMA Number  

After RMA creation, RDS will confirm the application and give a RMA number.  

All the products are necessary to get a RMA number before being returned. RDS will refuse products returned without any RMA number on the outside of the shipping box. 
(3). Freight Charge  

If the product is in-warranty, RDS shall be responsible for one-way freight charge for products to be delivered to RDS (the specified receiving address in RMA form), while customer shall be responsible for one-way freight charge for the repaired unit being sent back to the customer, The customer have the right to decide to ship the product with large cargo or ship it separately. Besides, the customer will bear all the costs for two-way freight if product is out of warranty.    

(4). Special Services

2). Partner Support: Any RDS products bought from RDS agents, are covered in the scope of services, and enjoy the same preferential policies.  

3). Refurbishment Service: The returned products can be refurbished according to the agreement.  


2.     Warranty Exceptions  

The warranty does not cover the following:  

(1). The product of warranty is expired.  

(2). The product is subjected to misuse, abuse, negligence, unauthorized repair or modification (hardware, firmware or software).  

(3). The product is subjected to electrical short circuits or transients, accident, fire, flood or other damages from acts of nature.  

(4).The product is subjected to improper operating conditions (including atmospheric, temperature and humidity conditions) beyond of the acceptable conditions specified in the product’s instruction manual.  

 (5). The original identification (trademark, serial number, model number) markings have been removed, defaced or altered.  

The warranty does not include unauthorized sources of supply that are fabricated into RDS products.  


3.  Packaging Guidelines  

Write the RMA number on the outside of each returned box;  

Please make sure the packing is strong enough for shipment. If any damages or disfigurements occur during transportation, the warranty will not apply to the Product.  


4.  NTF (No Trouble Found)  

All returned products would not be charged for testing or labor cost if NTF (No Trouble Found) were found. No matter whether it’s out of warranty. The products will be upgraded for free with the newest firmware version before shipment. Freight charges are not included.
